Common Terms
The following terms are used through this website and within the Shin Sen Dojo generally.

	Word	Definition
	Aiki	Harmonising or blending energy.
	Basic Aikido (Kihon)	Refinement of basic Aiki principles and techniques, open to students of all levels. New students should come to this course before trying others.
	Basic Ki Class	Training in basic principles and practises of ki.
	Bokken and Jo	Weapons training with sword and staff.
	Intermediate (Juki)	Slightly more dynamic than basic and lighter than general.
	General Aikido	More dynamic and aerobic practice than basic and intermediate.
	Ki	Universal life energy and the flow of nature that surrounds and permeates all things.
	Ki Shiatsu	Healing art working on balancing ki in the meridians of the body.
	Ki Training	Development and cultivation of ki energy and development of mental and spiritual aspects.
